About the Speaker
Mohamad Ezri Bin Abdul Wahab is the Vice-President of the Malaysian Bar for the term 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. He was elected as Council Member of the Malaysian Bar for six consecutive terms between 2016 and 2024. He was called to the Bar in 1994 and set up his practice in 1996. He is an accredited mediator and a Syariah Law practitioner in Penang. In 2018, he was appointed as the President of the Strata Management Tribunal under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government Development, a position which he currently holds until today. He completed the Train-the-Trainer (“TTT”) Programme on Anti Money Laundering, which was a collaborative effort between Bank Negara Malaysia and the Asian Banking School. He is currently the Chairperson of the Bar Council AMLA Committee and Bar Council Ad Hoc Committee on Touting.
