The Corporate & Conveyancing Sub-Committee has received numerous inquiries from our members regarding the requirement for certified true copies (CTC) of identification cards and passports for land transaction procedures. We wish to clarify that this procedure has been made mandatory by the Pejabat Tanah & Galian (PTG).
The Sub-Committee has sought clarification from Pn. Anum Satia binti Kamaldin, Penolong Pegawai Tadbir, Bahagian Pendaftaran PTG, it was confirmed that the submission of CTCs of identification cards or passports is mandated. This requirement is specified in the “Senarai Semak Perserahan Suratcara / Borang Di Kaunter” (Green Folder), which should accompany submissions.
We have been informed that since mid-2023, the requirement for CTCs has been strictly enforced. This change is due to the Land Office auditing its processes and files, necessitating these certified documents.
Members are strongly advised to ensure that all identification cards or passports submitted for Land Office transactions are duly certified. This will prevent processing delays or rejections.
