The Johore Bar Committee is aware of the ongoing challenges faced by both law graduates seeking pupillage placements and firms looking for suitable chambering students. A recurring difficulty has been the shortage of information on the availability and demand for such placements.
To address this, the Committee is compiling and maintaining an updated index of firms within the Johore Bar that are offering chambering positions. The index will be published on the Johore Bar website, updated periodically by the Secretariat, and shared upon request by students and institutions. It is intended to serve as a central reference point and an avenue for Masters to connect with potential pupils.
Members who wish to be included in the index are invited to provide the following particulars:
1. Name of Firm
2. Area / District
3. Contact Number and Person(s)
4. Email Address
5. Applicable Until (date the opening remains available)
Members may submit their particulars by either:
(a) completing the Google Form at https://forms.gle/fEBJjfXkz7U83WDp7, or
(b) emailing the particulars directly to the Secretariat at secretariat@johorebar.org.my
The Secretariat will collate and maintain this list for the benefit of members. We encourage all firms with available opportunities to participate in this initiative, which will help ensure greater visibility and accessibility of pupillage placements within Johor.
