The Syariah Sub-committee is organising a physical seminar relating to the basic principle of Hibah (gift) under the Shariah and the implementation of Order of Hibah issued by the Shariah Court in the State of Johore.
The seminar will cover the following topics:-
- Overview of the basic principle of Hibah under the Shariah and the Islamic Law of Administration;
- Hibah as an instrument used in Muslims’ assets distribution and in Islamic wealth management; and
- The legality and enforcement of Hibah and Order of Hibah with regards to the related applicable laws in Malaysia.
This seminar will be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia.

About the Speaker
ZAIMIL HASRA BINTI ZAINAL has been a Partner at the Messrs Izzat Muhtar & Hasra since 1 August 2022. She graduated from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2002 and was
admitted to the Bar under the pupillage of William Chua at Messrs William Chua, Kon & Associates in May 2003. Following her admission to the Bar, she practised at Messrs Othman Hashim & Co. from June 2003 to May 2004 where she dealt with accident matters, banking disputes and general litigation. She then joined Messrs K.K. Lim & Associates as Managing Solicitor from June 2004 to April 2014, where she specialised in banking litigation and general litigation. In May 2014, she joined Messrs Izzat Muhtar & Hudha as a Partner before the firm was renamed Messrs Izzat Muhtar & Hasra on 1 August 2022. She is also practising as Syariah Counsel in the state of Johor since 2008. After 21 years of professional experience, she currently focuses on general litigation, conveyancing, probate matters and letters of administration as well as on the divorce, faraid, hibah, wasiat and the distribution of legal estate matters for Muslims in Syariah Courts.
