Today, the Johore Bar Committee (JBC) was informed by Pejabat Tanah dan Galian Johor (PTG) through their letter dated 9th June 2021 that there were documents of title, duplicate charges, duplicate leases and duplicate sub-leases duly (‘the said documents”) registered but yet to be collected by the respective firms. This has caused severe congestion in their storage space.
Members are reminded of Section 305(2B) of the National Land Code 1965 and Butiran 65 Jadual V Kaedah-kaedah Tanah 1966 concerning the imposition of late collection fee.
However due to the extension of MCO and to avoid unnecessary congestion at the counters, firms are requested by PTG to collect the said documents in accordance with the two (2) phases upon the opening of their counters as indicated in paragraph 5 of their letter. The date of the opening of PTG’s counters will be made known to the members through their “Portal Rasmi Pentadbiran Tanah Johor” or social media.
Please be further advised that PTG will impose a late collection fee of RM50 per document for non-collection of the said documents within the aforementioned phases. A copy of the said letter is hereby attached for members’ perusal and reference.
Thank you.
