As litigation lawyers, much of our day to day work involves interacting with the Judges and the Opposing Counsel. How one conducts themselves during these interactions are therefore an important part of the litigation process.
Hence, the Young Lawyers and Chambering Pupils and Continuing Professional Development Sub Committees is jointly organising a seminar entitled “Advocacy, Court Room Etiquette and Ethics: from the perspective of a former Practitioner – Retired Judge.”
The Speaker, a former practitioner and a retired Judge, will amongst others, share some important pointers as to how a Counsel should conduct herself or himself in Court before the Judge and with Counsel for the opposing side.
