The continuous heavy rainfall over the last several days has resulted in floods in several parts of Johore. The State Disaster Management Committee has reported that as of 2.3.2023 the number of flood victims is 25,213 involving all 10 districts in the state. Amongst the worst affected districts are Segamat, Kluang, Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru and Pontian. The heavy rainfall is continuing.
The Committee is concerned that there may be members in the said areas affected by the floods and whom might be in need of assistance.
Members who are affected by the floods and require assistance are advised to contact the Secretariat. Members who know of a member affected by the floods and require assistance may also inform the Secretariat. Affected members who face difficulties in attending to court matters during the floods may also contact the Secretariat or the Committee members for assistance in communicating with the respective courts, if need be. The Committee will do its best within its means and capacity to extend assistance to the affected members. Thank you.
