Kindly be informed that the Johore Bar Committee (“the Committee”) has appointed Ms. Archana A/P Tambe Raja as the Honorary Secretary and Ms. Kamala a/p Ganapathy Rajagopalan as the Treasurer for the year 2021/2022.
Pursuant to section 73(vii) of the Legal Profession Act 1976, the Committee has co-opted Puan Norhayati Binti Mohamed as member of the Committee w.e.f from 4th March 2021.
En. Khairulazwad, a duly elected member of the Johore Bar Committee tendered his resignation w.e.f. 3rd March 2021 and pursuant to section 70(7A) of the Legal Profession Act 1976 (“LPA”) the Committee appointed Puan Hajah Norfaizah binti Hj. Zainuddin to take his place.
I am pleased to inform you that the Johore Bar Committee has formed 12 Sub-Committees to facilitate the organization of the activities of the Johore Bar for the year. The Sub-Committees will be chaired as follows:

The last year taught us that there is much that can be done despite convention being turned on its head. To help the various sub-committees of the Johore Bar move ahead, help them organize a large number of activities for the benefit of our members, we urge our members, especially the junior ones, to come forward and contribute a little of your time and energy. The youth of the State Bar have much to offer to the development and expansion of its activities, be it in terms of ideas or in the implementation of an event or activity.
