About the Speaker
RAVIN SINGH is a founding partner of Messrs Vin Partnership. He is a partner who specializes in Criminal Litigation, both blue and white collar, Personal Injury Insurance Claims, both for the Plaintiff & Defence. His experience in Criminal Litigation includes cases involving serious crimes investigated by the PDRM, white collar crimes investigated by the MACC, Securities Commission, as well as quasi criminal offences by regulating bodies. Ravin’s involvement begins at investigation stage, including representation as remand proceedings followed by trial. Ravin’s Personal Injury Insurance Claims practice has placed him on the panel of two major insurers in the country. Ravin also handles complex insurance claims for Plaintiffs. He is regularly hired as counsel to handle such matters. His key expertise includes claims involving fraud & exaggerated claims prevention, amputation and prosthesis claims, long term nursing case and medication claims as well as matters where liability is in dispute. He frequently also handles matters involving policy issues. Ravin has served as the Chairman Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (2015 – 2017); Honorary Secretary Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (2012-2013); Chairman Bar Council Legal Aid Centre Kuala Lumpur (2009-2012); State Bar Representative Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee to the Bar Council Malaysia (2013 to 2015); Elected Member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (2009/2013); Elected Member of the Bar Council, Malaysia (2017/2018); Registrar of SEA-LAW Steering Committee, Thailand (2016/2017); Chairman Bar Council Personal Injury Claims & Awards Committee; Co-Chairperson of the National Legal Aid Committee, Bar Council Malaysia; and Co-Chairperson Bar Council Steering Committee on the National Legal Aid Foundation/Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan.
