As informed at the Annual General Meeting on 24.2.2023, the Committee has undertaken works to expand and improve the Johore Bar library at the secretariat building and at the Muar Bar Room in order to make the library more functionable and resourceful for members. The works are being done through the Building, House, Library & Members’ Welfare Sub-Committee.
As part of the works, the library that was previously located in a room at the ground floor of the secretariat building in Johor Bahru is now relocated to the 3rd floor of the building and occupies the whole floor. More books, journals and online research facilities have been added on along with better workspace area for members. Whilst the expansion work is not fully completed as yet, the main library space and materials are however ready and members are welcome to utilize the same. As regards the library at the Muar Bar Room located at the Muar Court Complex, the library that was previously within the confines of the Bar Room is now expanded to the adjoining meeting room and more journals and textbooks have been added on along with online research facilities for members. Pictures of the expanded library may be seen here. Members are welcome to make use of the expanded library. The expansion work here was undertaken through the North Johore Affairs Sub-Committee.
The Committee will make further announcement once the expansion works are fully completed. In the meanwhile, the Committee would like to thank all members and pupils who had assisted the Sub-Committees in the expansion and relocation works.
