Circular No. 65/2021: Opening of a new google form for Appointment For Dealings

This morning, the Johore Bar Conveyancing Sub-Committee (CSC), held a discussion with Pejabat Tanah and Galian Johor (PTG Johor) to resolve several issues pertaining to the scheduling of appointments for dealings at PTG Johor faced by the members, including difficulties faced with regards to logging into the current system to obtain appointment dates for transactions.

At CSC’s request, as a short term measure to clear up the backlogs and address the aforesaid issues, PTG Johor agreed to open up a new google link for presentation of dealing transactions on 5th August 2021 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm only. There will be no quota on the folders submitted on that day. However, please be informed that the maximum limit of appointments is for 15 folders only per firm.

In the premises, members are strongly advised to log in and submit the Google Form for appointment ONLY for folders which are complete and ready for presentation at the counters. This is to ensure that the available slots are properly allocated to attend to those folders that are ready for presentation at PTG Johor since PTG Johor only deals with 160 folders per day in accordance with their current SOPs during MCO; that is only forty per centum (40%) of their normal capacity. Those firms that are successful in getting the appointments will be given slots from Sunday 8th August 2021 onward.

Please be informed that there will not be any google link opened up for appointments on Saturday 7th August 2021 and the system will only resume on Sunday 8th August 2021.

Members are further advised that any appeal for late penalty for presentation of dealings may be done through the appeal form obtained from the counters at PTG Johor.
