The Professional Development & Education Sub-Committee is organising a Townhall Session on Small Firms Practice.
A ‘small firm’ is generally defined as a law firm comprising not more than five lawyers. Small firms make up about 80% of the firms at the Malaysian Bar. This session aims to provide an interactive space for members especially small firm practitioners to exchange ideas, share experiences and discuss practical ways for small firms to sustain and grow in legal practice and professional development.
Mr Jaya will speak on fundamentals of legal practice from the perspectives of a small firm practitioner followed by thoughts on issues of common interest for small firms such as financial sustainability, client management and practice management. The Bar’s initiatives on assisting small firms practitioners will also be explored. The session will also provide opportunity for members to share issues and concerns that they face in practice.
