Dear Members,
The Johore Bar is pleased to invite members to volunteer as Mentors for the Johore Bar Legal Mentorship Programme, commencing on 7 August 2026.
The programme aims to provide guidance, support and practical insights to junior practitioners while fostering collegiality, professional development and the sharing of knowledge within the Johore Bar. The mentorship programme will run for four (4) months, during which mentors will be paired with mentees based on their respective areas of practice and professional interests.
Eligibility Criteria for Mentors
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ standing in legal practice.
- Be a member in good professional standing with a positive professional reputation.
- Be willing to guide, encourage and support junior practitioners.
- Be able to commit to the four (4)-month mentorship programme, including at least one structured mentoring session each month.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and confidentiality.
Each mentor may be matched with up to three (3) mentees.
