The Johore Bar North Johor Committee is organising a seminar entitled “Practical Approach to E-Invoicing for Legal Firms” in Batu Pahat, Johor.
The seminar aims to address frequently asked questions raised by members following the announcement of the e-invoicing implementation.
The seminar will cover the following topics:

- Understanding the e-invoice format and its application to legal firms billing systems.
- E-invoice workflow and its application in legal firms.
- E-invoice Submission Methods and IT System Requirements for legal firms.
- Self-Billed E-invoice for legal firms.
- Separating E-invoice in office and client accounts.
- Difference between reimbursement and disbursement in legal practice.
- Impact Client’s Account, employee’s benefits and claims.
- Addressing potential operational challenges, troubleshooting and record keeping.
- Sharing on MyInvois Portal function on e-invoice and how the start up in legal firms.

Speaker
YAP WAN CHING is the founder of Wanconnect Consulting Group and has over 20 years of experience in Malaysia’s accounting industry. She specializes in tax planning, tax audits and investigations, e-invoicing, due diligence and financial audits.
Ms. Yap is also an HRDC-approved trainer, delivering public seminars and corporate training sessions on topics including accounting, income tax, and e-invoicing throughout Malaysia. She has assisted over 30 companies with the implementation of e-invoicing, including those with e-invoice implementation dates starting from 1 August 2024. Her training is known for being practical and easy to understand, helping businesses to adopt e-invoicing systems and stay compliant with government regulations.
Ms. Yap is an approved auditor under the Ministry of Finance, a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), and a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).
