The Continuing Professional Development Sub-Committee of the Johore Bar is organizing a Seminar on An Overview of Sale and Purchase of Shares and Businesses.

The seminar will provide a preliminary overview on the fundamental aspects of transactions involving the sale and purchase of shares and businesses. It will provide a snapshot view of the process of such transactions, which include negotiations, due diligence, drafting points, completion and post-completion matters. The talk will also highlight the main differences between sales of businesses and sales of shares.

About the Speaker

Ms. Sheba Gumis was admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in April 2010 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Corporate Division of Skrine.

She regularly advises companies in various industries on issues relating to company law and other applicable laws relevant to the particular industry. Her practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures and investment advisory work.
