The Continuing Professional Development Sub-Committee of the Johore Bar is organizing a talk on Milestone Cases in Malaysian Land Law.

The Seminar will cover as follows:

4. Role of Equity and Equitable Principles under Malaysian Land Law

About the Speaker

Mr. Sudharsanan Thillainathan joined Shook Lin & Bok in 1997 as an associate. He became a partner in 2004. His main practice areas include Corporate & Insurance Litigation, International & Domestic Arbitration, Competition Law and Tax Litigation. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Tax Department. Mr. Sudhar has been involved in the conduct of a number of leading local cases in the areas of arbitration, insurance, local/public authorities and tax law. He has also been involved in the conduct of a number of domestic and international arbitrations. Mr. Sudhar recently participated in the inaugural Singapore International Arbitration Academy 2012, presented by the Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore where he was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Advocacy.

Registration must be accompanied with payment to guarantee your place and is on a first-come first served basis limited to the first 90 members who register. Cash/Cheque should be crossed and made payable to JOHORE BAR HOUSE & LIBRARY FUND. Fee paid is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.

If a participant is unable to attend, a replacement is allowed provided that the Secretariat of the Johore Bar is notified in writing prior to the commencement of the event. Certificate of attendance will be given to participants who have successfully attended the talk. However, certificate of attendance shall not be awarded to late comers or those participants who attend this event after 15 minutes upon its commencement.
