The Professional Development & Education Sub-Committee is organising a Seminar entitled “Criminal Advocacy: The Art of Cross-Examination.”
This seminar aims to provide insights from a Criminal Law practitioner particularly on the art of cross examination which forms an integral part in Criminal Advocacy.

About the Speaker
Subash Ramasamy, was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London and a Certificate in Legal Practice.
He has been in practice for the last 24 years and is an active litigator, frequently appearing before the Malaysian Appellate courts, High courts, Sessions courts and Magistrates’ courts. His wide-ranging experience encompasses criminal trials, quasi-criminal proceedings, judicial review applications, industrial court matters, and election petitions. Notably, he has also undertaken pro bono work in civil liberties cases.
Beyond courtroom advocacy, Mr. Subash has contributed to the intellectual development of the legal profession. He has authored numerous articles in respected publications including the Malayan Law Journal, Current Law Journals, and Quarterly Law Review.
His service extends to the wider community where Mr. Subash has delivered motivational lectures to secondary school students on sensitive legal and social issues, actively participated in legal aid clinics to educate the public, and have been a part-time tutor for Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) candidates, particularly in the area of criminal procedure.
