Circular No. 15/13: Seminar on Syariah Law l For Syariah and Non-Syariah Lawyers (27&28 May 2013)

The Continuing Professional Development Sub-Committee jointly with the Syariah Sub-Committee of the Johore Bar is organizing a 1-day SEMINAR ON SYARIAH LAW that will be conducted by ENCIK AMIR BAHARI, a member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar. The seminar will be conducted in Muar and Johor Bahru respectively for the benefit of all members of the Johore Bar. Further it would be broken into two sessions – morning and afternoon – and members have a choice of attending either or both sessions, with 4 CPD points awarded for each session.

The Speaker


Encik Amir Bahari graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia in 1997. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1998. He is a Committee member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar. He is currently a partner at Messrs Bahari & Bahari. He is accredited by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad and certified by the Malaysian Institute of Management. He is also a graduate of the Billy Kueek International Master Class Trainer programme. Encik Amir Bahari has conducted seminars for the Bar Council, the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee and the Selangor Bar Committees.

His legal practice focuses on syariah law, particularly legacy management, divorce settlement, estate distribution management, wills and hibah.

Payment may be made by Cheque or Cash. Cheques should be made payable to JOHORE BAR HOUSE & LIBRARY FUND.

(1) Attendance for full day seminar – 8 CPD Points; and

(2) Attendance for half-day seminar – 4 CPD Points.
