Members have been facing difficulties recently in carrying out e-filing from their offices. This is due to the migration to a new system by the e-filing system service provider as of 1.4.2014 .

The Bar Council Circular No. 042/2014 dated 4.3.2014 had informed members of the incoming implementation of the new e-filing system beginning from 1.4.2014. The new system requires use of a new personal digital certificate to replace the old firm based digital certificate and the new certificate would support Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8. An explanatory note with FAQ was also attached to the circular to help members understand the new system and the transition process. Members are strongly advised to refer again to this note.

The Bar Council Circular No. 076/2014 dated 1.4.2014 had informed members that informational sessions on the new system will be held in Johor Bahru on 6th – 8th May 2014 at the Court Complex in Menara Cyberport. The sessions will involve FORMIS, Trustgate, CIMB Bank and e-Kehakiman Division. Members are strongly advised to attend the sessions so as to be more guided on the new system.

The Bar Council Circular No. 087/2014 dated 11.4.2014 had informed members that the e-Kehakiman Division was made aware of the difficulties following the new system and the Division have given the following notification of the actions needed to be taken by members in view of the difficulties under the new system.
