Members are advised to take note of the following updates received concerning Court operations in Johor, during the “Total Lockdown Phase 1” Period from 1 June 2021 to 14 June 2021.
BATU PAHAT MAGISTRATE’S COURTS [CIVIL]
By letter dated 31 May 2021 issued by the Puan Nurasidah Binti A. Rahman Magistrate Batu Pahat Magistrate’s Court, JBC was notified as follows:-
- all trials are vacated and rescheduled as provided in said letter;
- matters set for e-Review remain unchanged;
- email addresses of contact persons for cases to be conducted via remote communication technology are provided in the letter.
JOHOR BAHRU HIGH COURT FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS (CODE 38)
All hearings, case managements and manual auctions are rescheduled per letter dated 30 May 2021 from Tuan Mohd Farid Nazzrin bin Ahmad, Senior Assistant Registrar High Court Johor Bahru.
KLUANG SESSIONS COURT
1. All criminal and civil trials are vacated.
2. Only fresh charges and remand applications will proceed.
3. The Commissioner for Oaths counter is closed. Counter operations are limited to bails and payment of fines for new charges.
4. All mentions for criminal cases and sentencing, traffic and JPJ matters are also postponed..
5. All adjourned cases will be rescheduled. The list of reschedule of cases will be emailed to the Johore Bar Secretariat by tomorrow evening.
6. e-Review for civil matters will be conducted accordingly.
