About the Speakers
MURSHIDAH MUSTAFA graduated from IIUM in 1993. She was elected as member of Kedah Bar Committee from 2008 to 2018. During the said period she has chaired the PSDC, Syariah, Family Law, Islamic Finance and ADR Committee of Kedah Bar. She was also the Secretary for Kedah Bar Legal Aid Centre from 2009-2015. Murshidah is also a Syariah Practitioner. In 2018-2020 she was elected as Kedah Bar representative to the Bar Council and then elected as Bar Council member for the term 2020/2021 until now being the first council member elected from the floor from Kedah. At the Bar Council she had served several committees namely Co-Chair of PSDC and member of the Law Care and Small Firm Committee. Currently serves as the Treasurer of Malaysian Bar and is also the Deputy Chair of Mediation Committee. She is also an accredited mediator and active trainer in the Malaysian International Mediation Centre (MIMC). Being a dedicated and passionate speaker for Malaysian Bar CPD program, she had indeed contributed to raising the standards of the legal profession. Among the seminars and talks that she has presented are the topics on Islamic Estate Management, Amendments to Small Estate Act, Administration of Malay Reserve Lands, Probate, Hibah, Will, Faraid etc.
MOHAMAD REDZUAN B IDRUS was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya in Penang in the year 2002. He is a partner in Faris Halim & Co and is well versed in conveyancing practices, litigation and inheritance law. In 2020 he was credited as a mediator by Malaysia Mediation Centre. He was formerly a Chairperson for Conveyancing Sub-Committee of Penang Bar for the year 2022/23 and facilitated Penang Inaugural Conveyancing Conference 2022 for Penang Bar. Currently he is a Co- Chairperson for Islamic Finance Sub-Committee of Penang Bar. In 2023 the Committee under his care organized Islamic Finance Conveyancing Conference and later facilitated Persidangan Reformasi Undang-Undang Pentadbiran Pusaka Orang Islam organized by the Bar Council. For the benefit of legal practitioners, he has issued a few professional modules with other practitioners including “Professional Hibah Drafter” jointly with Tuan Mawardi Che Man. His book titled “Analisis Hibah Semasa: Mutlak, Amanah, CaGar dan Syarat” which was co-produced with two other writers was published in 2020.
