About the Speaker
EN. AMIR BAHARI obtained a Master of Comparative Laws degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Syariah and Legal Practice from International Islamic University Malaysia (“IIUM”). His areas of practice cover mainly Islamic estate planning (including wasiyyah and hibah), Islamic family law, Islamic estate distribution and legal negotiation.
For the past three years, he has been actively giving talks organised by the Bar Council, the State Bar Committees, Advocates’ Association of Sarawak and Sabah Law Association. He practices in three jurisdictions, namely the civil court, and the Syariah court in the Federal Territories and Selangor.
He was a member of Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee from 2013 to 2015 as the Conveyancing Chairperson for the Corporate and Conveyancing Practice Committee. He is a certified trainer under the Malaysian Institute of Management-Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (“MIM-PSMB”) and a MasterClass Trainer from Billy Kueek International. He has written four books, including one on Islamic wills (published by Telaga Biru), and one entitled Islamic Estate, Retirement and Waqf Planning (published by IBFIM).
