For matters on the e-Filing system, members will be notified of the rescheduled dates via the Case Management System [“CMS”] while the rescheduled dates for manually filed matters will be notified by email.
Members are advised to email Puan Mageshwary Muniandy (email address provided above), DR Muar High Court should the notifications concerned are not received.
4. RECORDING CONSENT JUDGEMENT ONLINE
As a matter of practice and procedure, Consent Judgements [“CJ”] are to be recorded before a Magistrate/Judge/Registrar. On inquiries made by members to JBC as to whether, during the MCO, parties could instead be permitted to record CJ via online, we contacted Tuan Mohd. Zulhilmi. Tuan Zulhilmi has confirmed that CJ may be recorded online and that parties must first write in to request for e-review date for the purpose of recording the CJ. All parties involved must be present at that e-review date, when said CJ will be recorded. The draft CJ, duly signed by all parties, to be filed thereafter. This online procedure applies regardless of whether the matter is at e-review or trial stage.
We then contacted DR High Court Muar, Puan Mageshwary, to inquire if the same could be permitted in the Northern Johore courts. We were informed that CJ are being recorded online at the request of the parties via email.
