The Bar Council Human Rights Committee will be in Johor Bahru for the first time to conduct a workshop. Topics covered will include children/women’s rights, transgender and conversion issues and personal data protection. Members of the Bar (pupils and young lawyers especially) are encouraged to attend this workshop as it comes highly recommended by our members from other states who have participated in such workshops.

Time : 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (light breakfast, lunch and tea will be provided)
Venue : Johore Bar Auditorium
Particulars of the trainers conducting the workshop are:-
1. ROGER CHAN WENG KENG
Roger has been in active practise for over 20 years. He was the Deputy Co-Chair of the Bar Council Human Rights Committee last term. Roger has been actively involved in Human Rights and Environmental activism.
2. SEIRA SACHA ABU BAKAR
Seira Sacha is currently a member of the Bar Council Human Rights Committee, Bar Council Committee on the Orang Asli Rights, and Bar Council Environmental Committee and Climate Change.
3. YOHENDRA NADARAJAN
Yohendra has been in active practise in the last 3 years and is a member of the Bar Council Human Rights Committee. Before practising, he was working for an International Human Rights Organisation as the Human Rights Education Coordinator. He has been conducting various human rights workshops for the bar, civil society and youths.
