Circular No. 60/16: Seminar on Islamic Principle of Family Law (1 Feb 2017)

Please be informed that the Shariah Sub Committee of the Johore Bar is organising a seminar on Islamic Principle of Family Law.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • maqasid shariah
  • the main sources of islamic law
  • the islamic family in Malaysia
  • the family law enactments in Malaysia
  • pre marriage registration of marriage
  • divorce
  • polygamy
  • post divorce application in the shariah court
  • the law of inheritance

About the Speaker

Sa’adiah Din was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1993. Her practice focuses in the Shariah Court in divorce matters and ancillary claims to the divorce e.g maintenance (Nafkah), matrimonial assets division, custody, alimony (Mutaah), Faraid, Hibah and other matters related to inheritance and wakaf land.

Registration must be accompanied with payment to guarantee your place and is on a first-come first served basis.

CPD points and Certificate of attendance will be given upon completion of the whole session to participants who have attended until the end of the event.

Cash/Cheque should be crossed and made payable to JOHORE BAR HOUSE & LIBRARY FUND. Fee paid is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
